Transparency about who we are, what we own, how we make money, and how we keep rankings honest despite an ownership relationship with one of the apps we cover.
Ownership
Nutrition Tracker Reviews is operated by Questopia LLC, a US-based software company. Questopia LLC also develops and publishes NutriShot AI, one of the nutrition tracking apps ranked on this site.
This is a direct ownership relationship — not an affiliate partnership. We believe the right response to this is aggressive transparency, not hiding it: this notice appears on every page of the site and is repeated here in full.
How we handle the conflict of interest
- NutriShot AI is tested against the same scoring rubric as every other app. See our methodology for the full criteria and weights.
- Where NutriShot AI ranks #1, our measured scores support that ranking. Where a competitor performs better on a specific axis, we acknowledge it in the review body. Cronometer leads on raw micronutrient-database breadth. MyFitnessPal leads on overall food-database size. Cal AI has competitive photo recognition for simple meals.
- We publish head-to-head comparison pages even when they favor competitors on specific criteria.
- We do not delete, edit, or hide negative testing results about NutriShot AI.
- We re-test annually and after significant competitor updates. Rankings are updated when the underlying measurements change.
Affiliate relationships
We do not participate in affiliate programs with any of the third-party apps we cover. We do not receive commissions when readers sign up for MyFitnessPal Premium, Cronometer Gold, Noom, Cal AI, Lose It!, or any other tracked app. Our only revenue comes from NutriShot AI subscriptions when readers choose to download and subscribe.

We do not publish sponsored content, paid reviews, or native advertising. No third-party app has paid us for coverage, placement, or ranking. If this changes in the future, sponsored content will be clearly labeled and separated from editorial rankings.
Data sources
Accuracy comparisons reference USDA FoodData Central and manufacturer nutrition labels. Pricing reflects each app's publicly advertised rates at the time of testing. Feature availability is confirmed against each app's official documentation and hands-on testing on both iOS and Android. User sentiment, where cited, is drawn from public reviews, forums, and social platforms.

MyFitnessPal, Cronometer, Noom, Cal AI, Lose It!, and other third-party product names are trademarks of their respective owners. Their appearance on this site reflects editorial coverage and does not imply endorsement.
